TFO






Problem
A highly creative CLD client since 1991, TFO produces educational materials that are regularly used in Ontario classrooms. This publicly funded TV station, whose mandate is education, needed to leap to the head of the interactive world.
Solution
TFO, already enjoying a long-standing relationship with CLD based in traditional media, drew upon CLD’s growing expertise in online design. Relying on CLD’s keen understanding of interface design and visual systems to keep the content accessible and visually consistent with the TFO brand, TFO was able to allocate more resources towards content development and implimentation. Now, more than ever, it’s a partnership. CLD art directs, and working with TFO in-house programmers, develops much of the visual content for their site. This partnership also led to e-workshop, an online resource for teachers. Working together, CLD and TFO continue to test boundries, exploring new and innovative ways to utilize new media in support of the TFO mandate.
Results
From the kind of vital, cutting edge online package that TFO’s youthful audience demands, to the ease-of-access to both information and educational aids, the collaboration between CLD and TFO has successfully resulted in TFO’s strong and diverse online presence.
